Roger Werbel Will Head Research Board

Roger C. Werbel, a Southland builder and developer for more than 25 years, has been named 1989 president of the board of the Construction Industry Research Board.

Werbel, president of Monterey Park-based Werbel Homes, was last year’s president of the California Building Industry Assn. The research board is a nonprofit research center that serves the construction industry and provides information to the government, businesses and the public.

Werbel succeeds J.B. Earl, who will continue to serve as a director of the research group. Jon Kruse and Jack Oechsel are also directors.

Greg Antonovich, William Schmidt and Jack McCormick were elected vice presidents. James Halverson is the secretary and John Clarke is treasurer.
