I found “Viva Miami: The Night of Super Sounds” to be disappointing. Linda Ronstadt’s solo was excellent. Carlos Santana maintained a sober face throughout and his music seemed to lack vigor. Cheech Marin easily could have been eliminated and no one would have noticed. I was hoping for a little “Cherry Pink” from Herb Alpert and some exciting Latin music with perhaps some dancers as well. The only exciting performer was Maria Conchita Alonso, who danced at the beginning of the show. Without her, it would have been a complete dud.
