Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Students to Examine Issues in Business

Sixteen workshops designed to help high school students learn more about business will be featured during the fifth annual Business Issues Conference on Wednesday at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The conference is sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County, a nonprofit, educational foundation.

Twenty-five Orange County business leaders will lead workshops and informal discussions on a variety of topics, including “Entrepreneurship,” “Labor and Management” and “Women in Business.”

“The purpose of the conference is to increase student awareness of the complexities of decision-making and ethics in business, promote the process of critical thinking and analysis, and encourage dialogue between business and education,” foundation director Patricia K. Hitchcock said.

She added that more than 1,000 students from high schools all over Orange County are expected to attend.
