NAMES IN THE NEWS : Mary Hart to Marry Producer

“Entertainment Tonight” co-host Mary Hart will announce her engagement to independent producer Burt Sugarman on tonight’s show, one of its producers said.

Karen Shapiro, a news producer for the show, said Hart, 35, will announce her engagement on the air. The former Miss South Dakota, who received six dozen roses during the show on Tuesday, began her career as a Las Vegas showgirl. She made her debut at the Golden Nugget as the opening act for comedian David Brenner. Hart has co-hosted “Entertainment Tonight” for more than six years.
