Encinitas
Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man found slumped over his steering wheel in the parking lot of an Encinitas restaurant late Wednesday night.
Several customers at Captain Keno’s, 158 N. Highway 101, noticed the man about 10 p.m. and told the bartender, the Sheriff’s Department reported. In turn, the bartender called paramedics, who said the man had been dead for some time.
There was no obvious trauma to the body, and an autopsy is planned. The man’s identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.
