Georgiana Hardy
Georgiana Hardy was a true leader and a great lady. She had a sense of world community. Her firm belief that students in the public schools should be exposed to transnational interests and values led her to encourage an awareness of the United Nations and its goals during her long and committed service as a member of the Los Angeles Unified District Board of Education. Thousands of students and teachers have benefited from this vitally important and refreshing opportunity. The officers and directors of the United Nations Assn., Pacific-Los Angeles, wish to pay tribute to her memory, to her courage, and to her lasting contributions to an understanding of the kind of world in which we still live.
