Willie Mays Aikens, the former Angel and Kansas City Royals slugger whose drug problems ended his major league career, will report to the Leon Braves of the Mexican League next week after a special draft of players from the Jalisco Charros, a team that recently disbanded.
The Braves also picked up the Charros’ leading pitcher, Jaime Orosco, during the two-round draft of 30 ballplayers.
