A Glendale man accused of shooting and killing his cousin in Glendale last week pleaded not guilty to murder charges at an arraignment Monday in Glendale Municipal Court.

Michael Stanley Galliher, 23, was arrested Feb. 23 in the slaying of his cousin, Donald Paul Kenniston Jr., 30, officials said. Kenniston was shot in the head Feb. 21 as he leaned into the passenger window of a late-model white Camaro that was stopped at 1020 N. Pacific Ave. in Glendale.

Kenniston died four hours later at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. At the arraignment, Glendale Municipal Judge Barbara Lee Burke set a March 10 hearing date to schedule a preliminary hearing. Galliher is being held in Los Angeles County Jail without bail.
