Director Sidney Lumet, whose long list of films includes “Twelve Angry Men,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Network” and “Family Business,” has been named an honorary life member of the Directors Guild of America. He’ll receive the award at the group’s 41st annual awards dinner on March 11.
