City Clerk Elias Martinez said Los Angeles residents who are not registered to vote or who have moved since the Nov. 8 election have until March 13 to sign up for the April 11 primary election.

MAYORAL RACE

Candidate Joel Britton, an oil refinery worker, will speak at the Militant Forum at 7 tonight at 2546 W. Pico Blvd. Britton will address social and economic crisis in Central and Latin America, including how the developing crisis affects the conditions working people confront in Los Angeles.

CITY COUNCIL RACES

Third District Councilwoman Joy Picus was endorsed for reelection by council colleagues Marvin Braude and Ruth Galanter.

Paul McKellips, a businessman and candidate for the 3rd District seat, will run in the Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday. He will hold a campaign rally at the 20-mile marker and will be running in a “McKellips for City Council” T-shirt.

Ryan Thomas Snyder, an urban planner and candidate in the 5th District, was endorsed by the Mexican American Political Assn.

Seventh District Councilman Ernani Bernardi was endorsed by Councilman John Ferraro on Friday.

Thirteenth District Councilman Michael Woo held his first fund-raiser Wednesday night at the Registry Hotel in North Hollywood. About 600 people paid $250 each to attend the gala.
