Comedy Marathon Movie (Mann & Goldstein). Shooting in L.A. Comedians Ronny Kenney (he produces and writes as well) and Gary Mule Deer are a couple funny guys who shoot a movie at their comedy club in an attempt to save it from financial ruin. Executive producer Roger Kenney. Director Paul Winters. Also stars Jimmy Walker.

Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives (Viva). Shooting in Montreal and New Jersey. Michael Pare returns to reprise his 1983 role as lost and assumed dead rocker Eddie Wilson. His car may have gone off Raritan Bridge in 1964, but now Eddie’s in Montreal working under a new identity and seems destined to return to music. Producer Stephane Reichel. Director Jean-Claude Lord. Screenwriters Charles Zev Cohen and Rick Doehring. Distributor Scotti Bros. Summer release.

Hollywood Boulevard II (New Horizons). Shooting in L.A. A comedic look at a young, small-town woman who comes out here to break into show business. This endeavor is followed by the usual sleazy hassles. Producers Tom Merchant, Chris Beckman and Rodman Flender. Director Steve Barnett. Screenwriter Scott Narie and Don Pugsley. Stars Ginger Lynn Allen, Kelly Monteith and Eddie Deezen. Distributor Concorde.

Night Breed (Morgan Creek). Shooting in London and Canada. Producer Christopher Figg. Director David Cronenberg takes a star turn in this scary tale directed and written by British horror novelist Clive Barker. Cronenberg portrays a wicked psychiatrist who attributes his own murders to one of his unstable clients--and the sucker falls for it!

Savage Beach (Malibu Bay). Shooting in Hawaii. Director/screenwriter Andy Sidaris here completes his playmate-filled thriller and fleshfest trilogy as his girls scramble to recover $25 billion worth of sunken gold before the bad guys do. Producer Arlene Sidaris. Stars Dona Speir, Hope Marie Carlton, Rodrigo Obregon, John Aprea, Patty Duffek and Michael Shane. Fall release.
