IN BRIEF : Heat’s Cummings Out for Season

MIAMI —
Miami Heat forward-center Pat Cummings has been sidelined for the rest of the season by a stress fracture in his left tibia. Cummings suffered the injury in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Pistons. He’ll be in a cast for four weeks and then will undergo nearly two weeks of rehabilitation. Cummings, 32, has a one-year contract with the Heat, which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent after the season.
