Mats Naslund scored three goals, Bobby Smith had a goal and four assists, and goalie Patrick Roy ran his unbeaten streak to 13 games as the Montreal Canadiens routed the Pittsburgh Penguins, 7-2, Saturday night at Pittsburgh.

Montreal leads the league with a 50-18-7 record and 107 points. The Canadiens posted the sixth 50-victory season in club history and first since 1978-79, when they won 52 games en route to a fourth consecutive Stanley Cup.

Five previous Montreal teams have won at least 50 regular-season games. Each went on to win the Stanley Cup.
