TEMPE, Ariz. — California Microwave Inc. has acquired Efdata Corp. of Tempe for about $5.8 million in cash and common stock, Efdata officials said.
Efdata produces a range of satellite and troposcatter data communications productions, with annualized sales of $8 million, said founder Robert Fitting.
He said the firm would continue to operate in Tempe as a wholly owned subsidiary of California Microwave, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based supplier of electronic intelligence systems and communications equipment.
California Microwave has made loans to Efdata since the Arizona firm was founded in 1984 and announced on Feb. 14 that it had reached agreement to acquire Efdata.
