Heady experience--Florist Jim Delamore’s headdress, “Brazil Oba Oba,” modeled by Mary Latta, took the Sweepstakes prize on Saturday night at the annual Bal Masque sponsored by Damas de Caridad at the Disneyland Hotel. Proceeds of more than $60,000 will go to St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton. Ardie Davis was chairwoman.

The Arthritis Foundation Women’s Auxiliary luncheon at the Irvine Marriott on March 14 raised $10,000. Proceeds will be used to help support the Orange County Branch of the foundation. Former UC Irvine Chancellor Daniel G. Aldrich was honored at the affair. Elaine Vafiadis was chairwoman. Aldrich was recipient of the foundation’s annual STOP--Salute to Outstanding Persons--Award. He attended with his wife, Jean.
