Goossens’ 3 Goals Help Comets Score 6-3 Win Over Lazers

Jan Goossens’ fourth hat trick of the season enabled the Kansas City Comets to score a 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Lazers in a Major Indoor Soccer League game Wednesday night.

Goossens’ third goal and game-winner came at 9:25 of the fourth quarter and gave the Comets (17-19) a 4-3 lead.

Chris Kenny and Dale Mitchell added sixth-attacker goals for the Comets after the Lazers pulled their goalie in the fourth quarter.

Hector Marinaro, the MISL leading goal scorer with 42, had a power-play goal for the Lazers. Teammates Gary Heale and David Eise also scored for the Lazers (18-21).
