Culver City : Parking Fees Increased

Share

The City Council and Redevelopment Agency voted Monday to raise monthly fees in four city and agency-owned parking lots from $25 to $35, starting in July.

The lots, where spaces are leased individually for monthly fees, are located on Canfield Avenue between Venice and Culver boulevards; on Washington Boulevard between Irving Place and Van Buren Place; on Warner Drive between Hayden Place and Eastham Drive, and on Venice Boulevard across from Main Street. The $35 fee will also apply to a parking area that will open soon on a block bounded by Washington, Culver and Ince boulevards and Main Street.

The fee for a parking lot near Virginia Avenue and Ballona Creek was raised from $15 to $20, because it is not used as much as the others.

City staff recommended the fee increases after conducting a survey of local privately owned parking lots and publicly owned lots in neighboring cities.
