The disciplinary committee of UEFA, the European soccer authority, today announced heavy fines against Heart of Midlothian F.C. of Scotland and Napoli of Naples for rules violation.
The Scottish club was fined $61,730 for non-compliance with UEFA statutes by allowing live television transmission of a Feb. 28 UEFA Cup match against Bayern Munich.
Napoli was fined $30,865 for spectator misconduct in its second leg UEFA Cup match against Juventus Turin March 15, which it won 3-0. The committee said the fine also was imposed for inadequate organization of the match.
