Local News in Brief : Accident at Egg City in Moorpark Kills Man

A Moorpark agricultural worker has died after losing a leg in a grinding machine, authorities said Friday.
Rudolpho Gomez’s leg was caught in a machine at Egg City, a chicken ranch in the 8600 block of Sheckell Road, said Annie Ironsides, a spokeswoman for the Ventura County Fire Protection District. He was transported by helicopter to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, she said.
Gomez, 31, died of blood loss during surgery, Ironsides said.
