Local News in Brief : Dana Point : Laguna Hills Woman Named City Clerk
The Dana Point City Council has appointed Mary A. Carlson to the position of city clerk.
The appointment is effective April 17. Carlson comes to Dana Point from Del Mar, where she has been city clerk. Her previous experience includes 5 years as deputy city clerk for San Juan Capistrano and secretary for the San Joaquin Elementary School.
Carlson graduated from the University of San Francisco and is a member of several associations of municipal clerks. She is also president of the National Charity League, Saddleback Valley chapter. Carlson, who lives in Laguna Hills, is married and has three children.
