City Restricts Sales of Plastic Containers

MINNEAPOLIS —
The City Council unanimously passed an ordinance on Friday banning plastic containers that cannot be recycled or burned.
The ordinance, which takes effect in July, 1990, was approved despite a public relations campaign by grocers and plastics producers.
