Dancing with dinosaurs? Acting for “Peanuts”?

Three of the county’s best-known arts organizations are collaborating with one of the county’s best-known theme parks for a “Children’s Cultural Festival” on April 29. The daylong event at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park will benefit South Coast Repertory, the Orange County Philharmonic Society and the Children’s Museum at La Habra.

Specific plans for the day of cultural activities for children and their families will be unveiled at an April 13 luncheon for the press and representatives of the arts community, hosted by Knott’s, with the park’s president, Terry Van Gorder, as a guest.

Among the activities planned for the festival, which will run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., are live musical and theatrical performances, art workshops and demonstrations, children’s entertainment and exhibits throughout the park, as well as unlimited use of all the Knott’s attractions, except for Pan for Gold and Arcades.
