Labor Dept. Lists Joblessness Rates in 11 Major States

Here is a list of March unemployment rates in 11 major states, according to Labor Department data released today:
California, 4.5%, down from 5.0% in February.
Florida, 4.8%, down from 5.3%.
Illinois, 5.6%, up from 5.2%.
Massachusetts, 3.4%, down from 3.5%.
Michigan, 6.6%, up from 6.1%.
New Jersey, 3.0%, down from 3.9%.
New York, 4.3%, down from 5.1%.
North Carolina, 3.0%, down from 3.2%.
Ohio, 5.2%, unchanged.
Pennsylvania, 3.9%, down from 4.3%.
Texas, 6.0%, down from 6.7%
