USC’s Centennial Sports Festival Set for Saturday

An intrasquad football scrimmage and intercollegiate track and tennis competition will highlight USC’s Centennial Sports Festival Saturday on the campus.

Activities will start at 8 a.m. with a five-kilometer “Family Fun Run” at Cromwell Field. The entry fee is $12, which includes a T-shirt, with proceeds going to the John Tracy Clinic and the school’s track and field program. The Trojan men and women will compete against BYU and Iowa at 12:30.

The football team will continue spring practice with a scrimmage at 10 a.m. in the Coliseum. Admission is $10 ($6 for children), which includes a barbecue lunch with the players and coaches afterward.

The men’s tennis team will play Stanford in Marks Tennis Stadium at 1 p.m., and the water polo team will practice and scrimmage in the swimming pool at 10 a.m.

Other activities include exhibitions and presentations by the basketball, diving, sailing and golf teams and the crew, a clinic by the song girls and yell leaders and a public volleyball tournament.
