Laguna Beach : Clinic Expands AIDS Testing, Counseling

Share

The Laguna Beach Community Clinic has expanded its HIV Testing and Educational Program with additional counselors, some of whom are bilingual in English and Spanish, and increased hours for the scheduling of testing appointments.

Appointments are available at the clinic on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The confidential testing sessions provide facts about acquired immune deficiency syndrome, including risk of contracting the disease and protection. Medical and other referrals are made as needed.

A special program for those applying for permanent residence through the Immigration and Naturalization Service amnesty program will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The amnesty program requires an HIV test for applicants 15 and older. Spanish-speaking counselors will be available for the special program, and no appointment is necessary.
