Driver Injured as Car Slams Into Restaurant
A woman was injured Wednesday night when the car she was driving crashed into a Pioneer Chicken takeout restaurant in North Hollywood, police said.
Lee McCabe, 19, told a nurse that her car failed to stop after she applied the brakes, crashing into the restaurant, said Joanne Cole, a nursing supervisor at AMI Medical Center of North Hollywood, where the woman was being treated for lower back pain.
No other injuries were reported in the 9:53 p.m. accident at 12940 W. Victory Blvd., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Greg Acevedo said.
