A Logan Heights resident taking out his trash Saturday morning found a fatally wounded man lying next to a trash Dumpster.
Police Sgt. Nate Caplan said the unidentified victim was discovered about 8 a.m. He had been shot in the head. He was rushed to Mercy Hospital, where he died about 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
The man was found in an alley behind the 4100 block of 36th Street. The coroner’s office described the victim as white, about 23 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
