Dallas Policeman Killed in Off-Duty Argument

DUNCANVILLE, Tex. —
An off-duty Dallas police sergeant was shot and killed by police early Sunday as he brandished a gun and tried to enter his home after an argument with his wife, authorities said.
Sgt. Glenn Repp III repeatedly ordered Sgt. Larry Wise to drop his gun before both men opened fire, authorities said. Neither Repp nor his partner were hit. Wise’s sister-in-law, Brenda Smith, had called police, saying Wise had made threats.
