The “Antique Lecture and Luncheon” on March 30 at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa netted about $15,000 for the Virginia Castle Auxiliary of the Assistance League of Newport Beach. Lynn Cornell was chairwoman.

The “Save the Gym” dinner-auction on April 8 at the Boys and Girls Club of the Harbor Area netted about $12,000. Harlan Andersen was chairman.

The luncheon on April 10 at the Red Lion Inn in Costa Mesa for the Women’s Division of the Jewish Federation of Orange County netted about $150,000 in pledges for the United Jewish Fund campaign. Eileen Garbutt and Miki Scholkoff were co-chairwomen.
