American History, a Saga of Immigrants
I have read the letters “Westminster Vietnamese and Former CIA Chief” (April 23) and felt very ashamed for the people who wrote the racially discriminatory slurs against the Vietnamese.
What incredible foolishness. These people are American citizens, too, who vote, pay taxes and abide by the laws like other native Americans or the Indians whom we took the land from. Being a second-generation American, I like to welcome Little Saigon and the Vietnamese immigrants as part of our proud Orange County history, just like our Little Italy in New York and Chinatown in San Francisco.
