Quake Hits Kazakhstan

MOSCOW —
A moderate earthquake hit the Soviet Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan on Monday but no injuries or damage were reported, the Tass news agency said. The quake registered between 3.0 and 4.0 on the 12-point Soviet scale at the epicenter, 180 miles northeast of the capital, Alma Ata.
