Commercial Scene : Work on Santa Monica Office to Begin in June

The Water Garden, a $400-million office complex planned in Santa Monica, will be under construction in June, according to the developer, the J. H. Snyder Co.
Excavation for the first phase has been completed, and Swinerton & Walberg has been named general contractor.
The 1.26-million-square foot complex will be built on a 17-acre site bounded by Olympic Boulevard, Colorado Avenue, 26th Street and Cloverfield Boulevard. When completed, it will consist of three six-story office buildings and a five-story office building surrounding a 1.4-acre lake.
