Girl Badly Injured in West Hills Collision
A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured and five other people were slightly hurt when two cars collided Thursday in West Hills, authorities said.
The girl was flown by helicopter to Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles after the 1 p.m. accident at Caris Street and Valley Circle Boulevard, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said.
Three other teen-agers who were in the car were treated for minor injuries at Humana Hospital-West Hills and released, said Dan Brothman, executive director of the hospital.
The driver of the second car was admitted to the hospital with minor injuries, Brothman said, and a child in the car was treated and released.
