Newspaper Says Mills Is Considering Arizona
Chris Mills, former Los Angeles prep star ruled ineligible by the NCAA to play at Kentucky, is considering transferring to Arizona, the Arizona Republic reported in its Sunday editions.
Arizona Coach Lute Olson is in West Germany with the Wildcat basketball team and could not be reached for comment.
Earlier, it was reported that Mills, who played at Fairfax High, is considering UCLA.
The NCAA on Friday placed Kentucky on three years’ probation for several violations. Among them is the case of Mills’ father allegedly being mailed $1,000 by Kentucky assistant Dwane Casey.
Mills was Kentucky’s second-leading scorer as a freshman.
