Cable Franchise Approved
The county Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a franchise that will provide cable television to 560 homes in neighborhoods along Crenshaw Boulevard north of Rolling Hills.
The basic subscription rate will be $14.95 a month.
Service to the two-mile unincorporated strip should begin within two years, after 7 1/2 miles of cable has been laid. The system, run by Times Mirror Cable TV as Dimension Cable Services, will hook into facilities in Rancho Palos Verdes.
