Jet’s Landing Gear Fails as It Leaves Denver Gate

DENVER —
A Delta Airlines jet was evacuated Wednesday at Stapleton Airport after part of its landing gear collapsed minutes before the plane was to take off, officials said. The Boeing 727 was preparing to push back from the gate when the left main landing gear collapsed. No one was injured in the accident.
