Best Section
We were pleased to read that The Times Travel Section has won the Best Newspaper Travel Section award in the Fifth Annual Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition Awards, though not surprised. Certainly the content and treatment in articles about places of interest throughout the world are on a par or even of higher quality than the most respected travel magazines. And the judges were right: “It provides the basic data that should be in all travel sections such as currency exchange, rates, world temperatures.” Congratulations on an honor well won.
