Jaclyn Smith will play a rape victim seeking revenge 20 years after the fact in “Bloodknot,” a TV movie for NBC. Howard Duff and Louise Latham portray her parents. The film will be broadcast next season.

Charlton Heston will portray Long John Silver in a remake of Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island.” The project, which will be shown on the TNT cable channel next February, also will feature, as young Jim Hawkins, Christian Bale, who previously starred in “Empire of the Sun.” Oliver Reed and Christopher Lee co-star.

Another remake in the works is Ernest Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea,” about a Cuban fisherman’s battle with a giant marlin. The new production, to air on NBC next season, stars Anthony Quinn in the role that Spencer Tracy did in the 1958 film.

During her hiatus from “Knots Landing,” Donna Mills is making a TV movie for CBS. It’s called “The Lady Forgets” and has her as a woman who can’t remember the past two years of her life but is nonetheless the suspect in a murder investigation. Also in the cast are Greg Evigan, Roy Dotrice and Andrew Robinson.
