La Verne police arrested four suspects described as “neo-Nazi skinheads” in connection with an apparently racially motivated beating of a Glendora couple carrying an infant and a black man who came to their aid. The alleged attack began as the couple prepared to leave a supermarket in the 1300 block of Foothill Boulevard, police said. Three men and one woman clad in storm-trooper-type combat boots, red suspenders and black trousers surrounded the couple, began beating the man and taunting them with ethnic slurs, police said. After the man fell, he was repeatedly kicked, and the woman was “slugged in the face,” La Verne Police Lt. Ken Swank said. A Pomona man who came to the couple’s aid was also attacked by the group, which shouted racial slurs, Swank said. Police arrived and stopped the suspects from using bats as weapons. The three injured victims, whose names were not released, were treated by La Verne paramedics for bruises. Held on $50,000 bail each are William R. Killackey, 21, of Yorba Linda; Scott Wilson, 28, of West Covina; Timothy Zaal, 25, of Glendora, and Amy Killackey, 19, of West Covina.
