LOCAL : Elvis’ Daughter Has Baby Girl
Elvis Presley’s daughter gave birth to the late king of rock ‘n’ roll’s grandchild--a 7-pound, 2-ounce girl--at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica on Monday, a spokesman for the couple said today.
With musician-husband Danny Keough at her side, Lisa Marie Presley delivered the girl by natural childbirth at 8 a.m. Monday, said publicist Paul Bloch. The child hasn’t been named, he said.
“Both mother and child are in excellent health,” Bloch said, adding that actress Priscilla Beaulieu Presley, now a grandmother, is thrilled. “Everyone is very happy.”
Lisa Presley, 21, married Keough, 23, last Oct. 3 during a small, private service at the huge Hollywood headquarters of the Church of Scientology.
Elvis died in his Memphis home in 1977 of a heart attack and apparent drug overdose. Lisa is due to inherit his estate, estimated at over $50 million, when she is 30.
