“Volume One (Traveling Wilburys)” won album of the year honors and Guns N’ Roses took the award for artist of the year at the first International Rock Awards telecast Wednesday on ABC. Other winners included the band Living Colour (newcomer of the year), Elvis Costello (songwriter of the year) and Amnesty International (tour of the year). Keith Richards received an honorary Living Legend Award, prompting him to remark: “The legend bit’s easy, the living’s hard.”
