3 Men Are Fatally Shot; 2 Women and Girl Raped
Three men were shot to death in separate attacks and two women and a teen-age girl were raped and critically wounded in their home early Saturday by an intruder, authorities said.
The women, ages 19 and 32, and the older woman’s 14-year-old daughter were raped, robbed and shot in their home in Inglewood about 2 a.m., Police Sgt. Harold Moret said.
The 19-year-old woman returned to the house shortly before 2 a.m. and was followed inside the front door by a man with a small-caliber handgun, Moret said.
He then took one victim at a time and sexually assaulted and raped them, he said. He demanded money from all three victims, then ransacked the house looking for valuables, Moret said. “Then he herded them into one room,” he said. “There, he shot each victim multiple times.”
The victims, all in critical condition, were taken to undisclosed area hospitals, he said.
Three men died in unrelated overnight shootings.
A man was fatally shot in Hollywood shortly after 3 a.m., Lt. Paul Marks said. No motive had been determined for the slaying and no arrests had been made. The man’s name was not released.
Jose Guerrero, 18, of Pacoima, was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting about 1:30 a.m., Detective Richard Knapp said. Friends took him to a hospital where he died, Knapp said. Guerrero was an associate of known gang members and the shooting “appears to be gang-related,” Knapp said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were investigating the shooting death of a man who was found in the unincorporated Agoura Hills area about 11:20 p.m. Friday, Sheriff’s Deputy George Ducoulombier said. The man, whose name was withheld, died at the scene.
