Aide to Joint Chiefs Picked

WASHINGTON — Maj. Gen. Howard D. Graves, commandant of the U.S. Army War College, has been tapped for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as a top aide to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Pentagon announced Thursday. If confirmed by the Senate, Graves will become assistant to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs.
