From Times staff and wire service reports

Fire inspectors returned today to the scene of a fatal fire at a Huntington Beach home day-care center to continue their investigation into the cause of the blaze that killed two infants.

Inspectors do not know how the fire started, but are checking reports that it may have begun in one of two television sets in the home, fire officials said. So far, investigators sifting through the rubble have not found either remnants of smoke detectors or a fire extinguisher.

Two infants, ages 8 months and 13 months, died in the house. A third 6-month-old boy remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition with second- and third-degree burns over 15% of his body. The day-care provider, Pat Orozco, remains hospitalized in fair condition with second- and third-degree burns to her upper body.
