Share

Aldersgate United Methodist Church will hold an “Offering of Letters” service on Sunday at both 9 and 10:30 a.m. at 1201 S.E. Irvine Blvd., Tustin. The letters will request full funding for the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children.

The program attempts to improve health by providing nutritious food to low income, nutritionally at-risk pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants and children up to 5 years old.

The offering will urge Congress to increase support for the program, which seeks to prevent infant mortality and hunger. The Offering of Letters is part of a national campaign by Bread for the World, a national Christian citizen’s movement, church officials said. For more information, call (714) 544-3653.
