In the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip, masked youths stabbed and wounded a suspected Palestinian collaborator, while in a separate attack, ax-wielding Palestinians wounded an Israeli truck driver, the Israeli army said. In the city of Rafah, youths armed with knives and axes repeatedly stabbed a 20-year-old Palestinian who worked as a janitor for the military’s civil administration, hospital officials and an army spokesman said. Leaders of the Arab uprising have ordered Palestinians working for the military government to resign or be subject to such attacks. The other incident took place in the village of Beit Lahia, where Palestinians, also armed with axes, attacked an oil delivery truck, wounding the Israeli driver.
