Ex-Astronaut Truly to Retire From Navy

WASHINGTON —
Former shuttle astronaut Richard Truly, associate NASA administrator, will retire from the Navy on July 1 with the rank of vice admiral, Defense Secretary Dick Cheney announced Friday.
Truly, who has held the rank of rear admiral since September, 1983, has completed 30 years of military service. He will continue in his job at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
