Newport Beach-based Donahue Schriber, a commercial real estate developer and manager, has named Geoff Fults leasing representative for The Promenade, a regional shopping center in Woodland Hills.

ACCOLADES: The Angeles Girl Scout Council’s elite Green & White Select Committee will bestow its highest honors on Lilly Lee and Howard White at its seventh annual fund-raising dinner. Lee, chairperson of Lilly Enterprises Inc. and Lilly Property Management Co., will receive the Grace Award, which is given to a community leader for exemplifying the Girl Scout values. White, managing director of finance at Arthur Anderson & Co., will be given the Good Scout Salute, which honors a corporation or individual for its dedication and support of the Girl Scout programs and its goals.

Builders/Developers

Wheatland Construction Co. has announced a realignment in its management ranks by naming Brad Gorman, president, and Rex Wheatland, chairman of the board. Located in Whittier, the firm specializes in commercial and industrial construction, including dams, electrical power plants and medical facilities.

Charles E. Harger has joined Maguire Thomas Partners as senior vice president of construction. Harger will be in charge of all the firm’s development projects nationwide. The L.A.-based company’s major downtown projects include First Interstate World Center, Southern California Gas Center and Wells Fargo Center.

Ken Baumgartner has been promoted to senior vice president for acquisition and planning at McMillin Communities. The company is located in National City (part of greater San Diego) and specializes in the move-up housing market.

Jeanette Engle has joined Ahmanson Commercial Development Co. as senior vice president and chief financial officer. The Los Angeles-based company is a subsidiary of Home Savings of America and has projects in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland and Chicago areas.

Raffi Cohen Industries of Los Angeles has named Brooke E. Goranson vice president, director of leasing. She will be responsible for marketing and leasing programs for Figueroa Plaza, One Civic Center and Figueroa Tower office projects in the downtown area.

Ronald H. Roberts has been named vice president of River Edge Development Co. Inc. and project manager for Oxnard Town Center, a mixed-used project in Ventura County. Roberts has been involved with the Oxnard project for over five years.

Pardee Construction Co. has promoted Michael V. McGee to vice president, project manager of its Riverside County development operations. Working from the Rancho California office, he will oversee planning, processing, approvals and development coordination of the firm’s residential, commercial and industrial projects.

James E. Whalen has been named vice president of Newland California, a San Diego-based land development firm. Whalen will oversee Newland’s industrial and office projects in Sorrento Hills and Poway. His duties will include planning, liaison with the city of San Diego, marketing, coordination of broker activities, as well as establishing design guidelines and review of architectural submissions.

Maguire Thomas Partners has announced two promotions, both to the position of vice president: Daniel R. Kingsley and Charles J. Tillotson. Los Angeles-based Maguire Thomas specializes in the development of institutional-quality office and mixed-use projects.

Newport Beach-based home builder J.M. Peters Co. has promoted Greg R. Petersen to vice president-controller. He will handle all financial reporting. The firm is building homes for the move-up market throughout the Southland.

Tom Cullinan has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing at Desert Horizons Inc., developer of the Desert Horizons Country Club in Indian Wells.

The new position of director of finance for Newport Beach-based Manning Co. has been filled by Scott Woodside. He will be handling all accounting and finance functions, overseeing joint-venture relationships, construction lending and individual job costs. Manning specializes in single-family detached move-up home development in the Inland Empire and the Los Angeles County.

Valerie Copen has moved up to director of purchasing at Richmond American Homes. She has been with the firm five years. Headquartered in Irvine, the company focuses on residential building.

John W. Fulbright has joined Kaufman & Broad of San Diego as director of forward planning. The firm is a subsidiary of Kaufman & Broad Home Corp., a home builder.

Mortgage/Title Firms

Bankers Mutual, a mortgage banking corporation, has promoted Trent D. Brooks to senior vice president. Headquartered in Newport Beach, the company specializes in funding large multifamily loans secured by apartment projects in the West.

Theresa Canady has joined the business development department of Gateways Title’s Inland Empire office in Colton. As major account manager, she will handle the commercial and industrial accounts in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
