A group called Men Who Care About Women’s Lives, terming itself the nation’s first all-male, pro-choice abortion group, staged a Father’s Day March to the Federal Building in San Francisco for an all-night candlelight vigil. “This march is an important statement by men in defense of a woman’s right to a choice,” said San Francisco Supervisor Harry Britt, co-chair of the march. “We cannot go back to back alleys, we cannot go back to butcher shops and we cannot risk our rights to privacy.” About 1,500 marchers, including women and some children being pushed in strollers, took part.
