Florida State University’s School of Theater will begin a student-faculty exchange with the Moscow Art Theater School next year under a just-finalized plan. Ten Florida State students and two faculty members will travel to the Soviet Union in May, spending a month there to study Russian theater masters. The Russians will reciprocate in July, 1990, by sending 10 students and two faculty members to FSU. During their month of classes in the United States, they will study American musical theater. FSU Theater School Dean Gil Lazier says the exchange program “will enhance our understanding of artistic traditions and strengthen the cultural bridges between our nations.”
